Andreas Hering, born 1983, received his first piano lesson at the age of six from Ulrich Jokiel. In 2003 he began his piano studies at the University for Music and Theatre in Rostock, Germany. Since then he has studied under the tutelage of Stephan Imorde and Professor Matthias Kirschnereit.

Andreas Hering has competed in and won many international and national piano competitions. He has performed as a solo artist, accompanied other artists, played in duos and trios as well as with orchestras in Germany, Turkey, France, Italy, Poland and in Moscow. He has also recorded for the German National Radio. Recently, Andreas Hering won scholarship at the German Music Contest 2008 and was recruited to the German national team of young musicians.
